Pre-season packaging plan for ice cream shops
An ice cream maker's biggest loss is the day sales stop; when cones or cups run out on the busiest day of the season, the loss cannot be recovered. That is why the packaging plan is made before the season opens. This guide covers stock, the print calendar and reorders, together with Gepako's process. The figures depend on your shop; the logic is the same.

Start from last season
The plan comes out of last season's sales: how many scoops sold in which month, did cones or cups move more, what was the share of takeaway? These three answers set your product mix. Cone sleeves and cups are the fastest-moving items through the season; tub sleeves, bags and napkins move in proportion to takeaway; stickers and wet wipes complete the presentation.
Three worries, three measures
Running out mid-season, late printing and inconsistent colour: these are the three packaging worries of an ice cream maker. At Gepako, cone and cup stocks are kept ready all season; printing is done in our own facility, so there is no waiting for an agency or outside press; colour consistency comes from one supplier and one print line. Build your plan around these three headings: stock items by sales pace, printed items by the calendar.
Print calendar: printed products first
Products printed for your brand are ordered before the season opens, because they involve proof, approval and production steps, and the queue grows in the busy period. The order is this: send the logo and colour codes, get a quote, approve the proof from the tracking page, and production starts. If several products carry the same logo, you approve them all at once with a set proof.
To try your design in advance, use the See Your Logo page: upload your logo, see it in 3D on the cone, cup, bag and napkin, and add the ones you like to the basket. The factors behind lead time are covered in a separate guide.
Stock and reorders
For unprinted products, place the first order for the opening period of the season, then reorder according to your sales pace. The practical rule is simple: note how long a carton lasts, and let the next order ship before that carton runs out. The minimum order follows carton logic; pieces per carton and minimum order are kept current on the product page.
If your storage is limited, you can have a printed product produced in a single run and shipped in parts; write this request in the note. Shipping goes by courier to all 81 provinces of Turkey; once the order ships, the courier details appear on your tracking page.
One supplier, one tracking page
Buying everything from cones to napkins from one place is not only convenient: it means one invoice, one shipment, the same colour and the same paper quality. Because production, printing and shipping run from one place, you learn the stage of your job from a single page.
