GUIDES

What determines the lead time?

Lead time is not a single number but the sum of several steps: is the product in stock or made for you, when was the proof approved, where are we in the season, and where is the carton going? The current stock and printed lead times for each product are on its product page; this guide explains what drives that figure.

Updated:

Stock product versus printed product

Unprinted cones, cups and service items are kept ready in stock through the season; once the order is confirmed the cartons are prepared and shipped. For a product printed for your brand, the time also includes print preparation, proof, approval and production. The product page shows these two as separate lines: delivery from stock and printed delivery.

Proof approval starts the clock

For printed products, production begins the moment you approve the design proof; it is the proof approval, not the acceptance of the quote, that counts. The proof appears on your order tracking page; you approve it or request changes. Every change request means another proof round, so sending a complete logo and colour information from the start is what shortens the time most.

If your logo is not print-ready, our team cleans it up and places it; this also happens within the proof round. Our guide on preparing a logo for print explains how to send the right file.

Seasonal demand

An ice cream maker's biggest loss is the day sales stop. In the busiest part of the season everyone orders at once and the print queue grows; the same product is produced far more comfortably before the season. So we recommend planning printed products before the season opens and reordering stock items according to your sales pace.

Gepako's promise comes down to three points: ready stock all season, production and printing tracked in one place, and all products from a single supplier. Colour consistency and delivery dates are under our control, in our own facility, on our own press.

Shipping time

When production is finished, cartons go by courier to all 81 provinces of Turkey and abroad by air or sea. Domestic shipping and export shipping differ: sea freight takes longer but suits bulky loads, air freight is chosen for urgent and small loads. The export terms and the delivery terms stated in your quote determine this part.

Once the order ships, the courier details appear on your tracking page, so you learn the stage of your job from one place. Overseas customers who want to see in advance how many pallets the cartons make and which container they fill can use the container calculator; the load summary is attached to the quote request.

To shorten the time

Write the delivery address and your target date in the quote form; gather several products in one request so the proof is prepared in a single round; send the logo as a vector or high-resolution file; approve the proof promptly from the tracking page. The exact delivery date is written in the quote; the time on the product page is general information.

Request a quote

List the products and approximate quantities; our sales team replies with a carton-based price.
