Ice cream packaging guide: what an ice cream shop needs
Ice cream packaging is more than a container; it is the surface that carries your brand in the customer's hand, on the street and in the photos they share. Over a season an ice cream shop uses cone sleeves, cups, boxes, bags and serving products. In this guide we group that shopping list by type of service, explain where printing makes a difference and show how to plan the whole order in one go.

In-store service: cones and cups
Ice cream eaten in the shop has two main packages: the cone sleeve and the ice cream cup. The cone sleeve is the printed paper wrap around the cone and the place the customer holds it, so this is where your logo is seen most. The paper ice cream cup is the standard pack for single and double scoops, served with a spoon. Both run out fastest during the season, which is why they come first in any stock plan.
Printing for both follows similar rules: the body unrolls as a truncated cone, so the logo is placed inside the safe area with a 3 mm bleed. For the details, see our guides on cone sleeve printing and ice cream cup printing.
Take-home: foam and PET tubs, tub sleeves
Take-home ice cream goes into foam tubs and clear PET tubs. Foam keeps the ice cream cold on the way home thanks to its insulation; PET sells the product by showing it. The tubs themselves are unprinted. The brand is carried by the tub sleeve that wraps around them: printed on bristol board, protected with lamination and cut to the size of the tub. A standard tub then looks like it came from your shop, not from a shelf.
Carrying and delivery
The cone box carries cones upright and protected, for multi-cone orders and delivery. The kraft paper bag carries tubs and boxes together, and wrapping paper is the thin printed sheet around a cone or product. As delivery and click-and-collect orders grow, these items become your brand's face outside the shop.
Serving products: napkins, wet wipes, cups, stickers
Napkins and wet wipes complete ice cream service, and both can carry your custom print. Paper cups are used in ice cream shops, cafés and for takeaway. Stickers are round die-cut brand labels: the simplest way to seal an unprinted tub, box or bag with your brand.
One supplier, one logo, one proof
Buying packaging from different places means a different colour tone and a different delivery schedule for every item. Gepako uses food-safe raw materials, prints in its own facility, ships to all 81 provinces of Türkiye and abroad, and 400+ ice cream makers source their packaging here. If several products carry the same logo, a set proof lets you approve the layout of all of them on a single page.
Before printing, you can see the products with your logo in 3D on the See Your Logo page. Minimum order and lead time are kept up to date on each product page; for prices, simply select the products in the Quick Quote form.
